Welcome to MomRise. By downloading, installing, or using the MomRise mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

MomRise is a parenting tool that helps you track your child's developmental milestones, create AI-powered learning paths, plan meals, manage a family calendar, and discover age-appropriate activities.

MomRise is not a substitute for professional medical, developmental, or parenting advice. The information and suggestions provided by the App, including AI-generated learning paths, are intended as general guidance only. Always consult qualified professionals for medical or developmental concerns about your child.

2. Account Registration

To use MomRise, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate account information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.

3. AI-Generated Content

MomRise uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenAI) to generate learning paths and activity suggestions. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is meant as general guidance, not professional advice
• AI suggestions may not be appropriate for every child or situation
• You should use your own judgment and consult professionals when needed
• AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Share inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content through the App's sharing features
• Attempt to interfere with the App's operation or access other users' accounts
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in MomRise, including meal plans, calendar events, milestone data, and any photos you upload. By using the App's sharing features, you grant a limited license for recipients to view the content you choose to share.

6. Intellectual Property

The MomRise App, including its design, features, code, and non-user-generated content (such as the activity database and milestone checklists), is owned by MomRise and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

MomRise relies on third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase - For authentication, data storage, and app infrastructure. Subject to Firebase Terms of Service.
• OpenAI - For AI-powered learning path generation. Subject to OpenAI Terms of Use.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MomRise and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages related to:

• Reliance on AI-generated learning paths or activity suggestions
• Loss of data due to technical issues
• Interruption of service

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through the App's settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
