1. Introduction
MomRise ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the third parties that help us run the app.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
- Email address (for authentication)
- Name (optional, for personalization)
Child information
- Child's name or nickname
- Child's birthdate (used to calculate age for age-appropriate content)
- Developmental milestones achieved
- Learning path progress
Subscription and payment information
- Subscription status (active, expired, refunded) and plan (monthly or annual)
- For iOS purchases: a non-identifying transaction token (Apple's
appAccountToken) that lets our servers match an Apple App Store transaction to your MomRise account - For web purchases: a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID (Stripe processes all payment information directly — we never see your card details)
- Refund and renewal events received from Apple or Stripe
Creator code attribution data
If you visit a creator's share page (e.g. momrise.app/c/somecode) and later install the app, we collect a small device fingerprint to match your web visit to your app install. This data is used only by us, only for attribution, and only for up to 24 hours:
- IP address (as seen by our server)
- A truncated user-agent string
- Approximate screen size
- Browser language
- Timezone offset
If you enter a creator's code manually in the app, we store the active code on your account so we can credit the creator on each subscription payment. This does not change the price you pay.
Usage data
- App interactions and feature usage
- Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized parenting guidance based on your child's age
- To generate AI-powered learning paths and activity suggestions
- To track developmental milestones and progress
- To process and manage your subscription
- To credit creators who share MomRise with their communities (creator code attribution)
- To improve our app and user experience
- To send optional notifications about your child's activities
4. Third-Party Services
MomRise relies on the following services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles data on our behalf.
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, cloud storage, crash reporting
- OpenAI — AI-powered content generation for learning paths and activity suggestions
- Apple App Store — payment processing for iOS subscriptions
- Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions and creator payouts
- SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional email delivery (welcome, receipts, creator notifications)
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
5. Tracking and Identifiers
MomRise does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use the Apple Identifier for Advertising (IDFA), and we do not share data with data brokers or ad networks.
The device-fingerprint data described in Section 2 is used only by us, only to match a web visit to an app install for the same person, and is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
6. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored securely using Google Firebase
- We use industry-standard encryption for data transmission
- User data is associated with authenticated accounts only
- Payment card data is handled by Apple or Stripe — we never see or store it
7. Children's Privacy
MomRise is designed for parents to track their children's development. We do not collect personal information directly from children. All child-related data is entered and managed by the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of optional notifications
- Export your data

9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Subscription and payment records may be retained longer to comply with tax and accounting requirements (typically 7 years). Creator-code attribution data is deleted after 24 hours regardless of account status. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
10. Creator Program
If you join the MomRise creator program, additional data is collected as part of that relationship — including your social handles, payment information for Stripe Connect, and aggregate performance metrics. See the MomRise Creator Agreement for full details.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date above.
